1). Open your repository
2). Save it as MUDE.rpd
3). Create a project and name it as Project1
4). Add Business Model and at least one subject area
5). Close the project window
6). Close the MUDE.rpd
7). Copy MUDE.rpd from <OBIEEHome>...\repository folder to that of shared folder
8). From the Administration Tool -> Click on Tools -> Options and select Multiuser tab
9). Browse the path of shared folder (where you pasted MUDE.rpd)
10). Close the current Administration Tool
11). Open the Administration Tool
12). Click on File -> Multiuser -> Checkout
13). Click on Yes (in case of any message)
14). Enter the rpd password
15). It will prompt you to enter the rpd name. Enter it as user1. Notice that, user1 and originaluser1 rpd’ s are created in <OBIEEHome>...\repository folder

20). First, you do some change in user1.rpd
21). Check global consistency and make sure there are no errors and then Save the rpd
22). Publish changes to MUDE.rpd
23). Now MUDE.rpd has latest metadata as updated by first instance of Administration Tool (user1.rpd)
24). As soon as the changes are published from user1, then notice that user1 and originaluser1 rpds are no more available in <OBIEEHome>...\repository folder
21). Check global consistency and make sure there are no errors and then Save the rpd

Follow these steps to configure MUD
if you are using XP then place the rpd’ s in under share documents
folder
go to shared documents in XP and create folder there and paste the
rpd
If it is Solaris?
Then Admin has to create share folder there, then they will inform you
on the path.
Connect to machine and keep the rpd in that share folder using FTP client.
